3rd Anniversary

On the fifth of this month we celebrated our third wedding anniversary.  We actually weren't planning on celebrating til the weekend because our anniversary fell on a Wednesday and Thomas was gone at work and school from 7am-11pm.  We got lucky and the MRI machine broke at the clinic he is doing his clinics at so they sent him home early! So we went for an impromptu lunch at a little Mediterranean grill we had been thinking of trying.

Then that Saturday we got our first paid babysitter to watch Brooklyn while we went out to The Melting Pot fondue restaurant.  We went for lunch and the restaurant was completely empty.  Our waitress was so fun to talk to and it was such a relaxing meal.  We had four courses.

Course #1
Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue
Rich Fontina and Butterkäse cheeses blend
perfectly with spinach, artichoke hearts
and garlic

It  included rustic artisan breads, fresh vegetables and crisp Granny Smith apples for dipping.

Course #2
The Melting Pot House Salad
Crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce, aged cheddar cheese, Roma tomatoes, seasoned croutons and sliced egg with your choice of Peppercorn Ranch Dressing or our sweet and tangy House Dressing.

(The dressing is so great!)
Course #3

Fondue Feast
Seasoned Choice Angus Sirloin,
Old Bay®
 Shrimp, Buffalo Chicken,
Memphis-Style BBQ Pork Tenderloin
and Wild Mushroom Sacchetti

Course #4

Chocolate Wildberry Crunch Fondue
Our take on a timeless American classic, PB & J. This one is sure to put a smile on your face!
Milk chocolate, crunchy peanut butter with a purée of blackberries, raspberries and strawberries

The food was delicious, service excellent, and the best part was having lots of time to talk to each other and both being able to eat at the same time :)

I'm so glad that we found a babysitter we are comfortable with.  One of the girls at church who has two little girls recommended her and she is a sweety.  We were gone for about 2 1/2 hours and Brooklyn slept for all but 20 minutes of that time.
