Mother's Day 2017

Thomas does a good job of making Mother's Day a whole weekend event.  Friday he and Brooklyn brought me home a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Saturday he made and cleaned up dinner (that's a must).  Sunday we went out to brunch at my favorite cafe called Penny Ann's.  Afterwards we went on a hike up to Donut Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon. When we got home from our hike Thomas gave both Brooklyn and I pedicures.

He also helped Brooklyn write me the sweetest note and card that she was so excited to give to me Sunday morning.

For my gift this year Thomas arranged for a car detailing place to come to our place and do an interior detail of my car.

I love my little girl and am so glad I get to raise her with such a kind husband alongside me.

April Photo Dump

Rainy April day, hanging out at the library on the bean bags.

Brooklyn says she wants to be a "Mom baker" when she grows up.  She loves to help make things like pizza and muffins.
Brooklyn wanted to invite a friend over for a play date and made sure that I tell her friends mom to have her wear her matching shoes and Minnie Mouse sweater.
Practicing her donut.
For community helper week at preschool they had parents come in and talk about their jobs.  This is one of Brooklyn's friends dads teaching them how to do push ups (he's in the military).

Watching Moana at the library.
Playing checkers with dad.

I took Brooklyn to the movies  to see Smurf's and afterwards she really wanted to play in the arcade.

Tulip Festival 2017

Another beautiful year at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens Tulip Festival.  This year we took our friend Emery with us and the girls had a blast. Brooklyn's favorite part was at then end when we went through the greenhouse and got to cut our own tulips and bring them home.

One of the parts of the gardens had all the tulips labeled and up high so that you can smell the different scents.

Making wishes in the water with pennies.

An artist painting in the shade of her umbrella.
This is right behind the greenhouse where we got to choose our tulips to cut for a bouquet.
