Move to La Pine, Oregon

Wow moving and buying a home is stressful! The whole home buying process went relatively smoothly. Just lots of paperwork and at the end a couple stressful days when we weren’t sure if we would close on the day we wanted. I’m so glad my mom was there to reassure me that it is always last minute the last couple days.

One thing that helped alliviate the moving stress was we were able to get movers to pack us up and load the moving truck for us. Also, my mom came from a Texas to drive in the car with me and the kids while Thomas drove the moving truck. Lifesaver! Wells does much better in the car seat if there is an adult back there with him to soothe and entertain. Brooklyn is a wonderful traveler so no issues there.

We split the trip into two five hour days. The truck was loaded by noon the first day and we got to Boise around dinner time. Had dinner at Thomas’ parents house and spent the night at his sisters. Angie and her girls met Wells for the first time. Brooklyn loves Angie’s girls and had so much fun having a sleepover with them.

We were off early the next morning so we could make it to the title company in time to sign on our house. We made it!
After signing we went to Brooklyn’s school to meet her teachers. Then we got the keys to our first home! Thomas, my mom, and Brooklyn all gotta see it for the first time!

Our movers weren’t going to unpack till the next day so we stayed in Sunriver that first night. It was a much needed stress relief break to be at a nice little resort where we could swim, dine, and unwind.

The next day we unpacked and began our adventure as homeowners!
My mom got us some squatty potties as housewarming gifts. Haha!
