Hot Air Balloon Classic

Every year for a week during the summer they have a bunch of hot air balloons (this year there were 40) take off from a park downtown in the mornings.  Saturday morning I went running with one of the teacher's at the school I student taught at and she mapped out a route that would give us an awesome view of the balloons.

The top outer portion of my right foot has been bugging me this past week so we had to take some walking breaks and ended up doing 9 miles instead of 12 but the conversation and view was awesome so I'll call it a great run.
Last night we went on a little family date to The Spirit of Boise Hot Air Balloon Classic Nite Lite.  Brooklyn really seems to like being in new places and people watching. People also love little Brooklyn.  If you don't want any attention don't bring this little girl with you because everywhere we bring her people comment on how cute she is (this may just be something people do with all babies haha). We got to the park at about 6pm and got a funnel cake to share and some fresh squeezed lemonade and walked around a bit.

When it started to get dark they had 12 balloons all in a row that they lit up.

We snapped some pics and oohed and ahhed and then snuck out of there to beat the crowd and put Miss Sleeping Beauty to bed.
