It always cracks me up when I find some of the little mishaps that happen while Thomas is being Mr. Mom. For example:
One Saturday morning I got up and asked how Brooklyn had eaten and what she had eaten for breakfast. Thomas told me she had eaten the oatmeal in the fridge in the container with the blue lid. I look in the fridge and realize he had fed her pancake batter! Haha luckily it didn't have egg in it since she is intolerant so no worries. I asked him how she liked it and she said she would only eat like 4 or 5 bites.
One afternoon Thomas changed Brooklyn's diaper. She had been wearing a skirt that had little built-in shorts. I picked her up and noticed he had put both her legs through one of the holes. I thought she had been walking kind of funny ;).

Our Summer
Here is what we have been up to this summer:
We love having a zoo pass and either meeting up with friends or just going for a bit when we don't have other plans.
I'm all about looking for free activities and going to the mall and playing at the little play area has proven to be a hit with baby. She always seems to find a friend to walk around with her and help her on toys.
We had a water play date with friends and they had a little baby inflatable pool and water table set up. Afterwards I had to get Brooklyn one too. Her table isn't as fancy but it does the job.
We go to baby story time every week and just started going to spanish story time. Sometimes we'll just go to the library to play with the toys they have there and so Brooklyn can be around other little ones.
We had a play date at Jump Time, a little gymnastics gym. We'll be doing this more often. The babies loved jumping on the trampolines, playing in the ball pit, and just crawling and walking all over on the squishy mats.
When it's not too hot we'll take our exercising outside for some hiking.
Summer is the perfect time for teething cause baby can just suck and chew on some homemade popsicles. We will make juice using our juicer and then freeze it or I found this Pinterest recipe for a strawberry smoothie that is so yummy and I'll make that into popsicles too.
Again, when it's not too hot we will head to the park for some swinging action and picnicing.
Splash pads are another summer fave.
I love riding my bike to yoga Saturday mornings. So rejuvenating to be out in nature and practicing yoga.
We go to baby signing time class once a week and I have really been amazed with the things Brooklyn is able to sign vs. what she can actually say. And most of the words she can say she signed first. She can say four words: no, mama, dada, more. She can sign fifteen words: book, dad, more, all done, water, milk, dog, shoes, diaper, banana, eat, toothbrush, bath, please, thank you
Thomas' dad has been staying with us on the weekends and Brooklyn has loved having him around to play with.

Little lady play date at the zoo. |
The Boise mall has such a great play area. |
Brooklyn always seems to end up with a friend who will take her around the toys at the mall play area. |
Brooklyn and Molly (Molly's mom was the teacher I did my student teaching under and she was pregnant with her at the time). |
Porter and Brooklyn. Porter's mom was another 3rd grade teacher where I did my student teaching. |
Loved this water table. |
Two favorite things, water table and smoothie. It was too hot to be outside so we improvised and put towels down in the kitchen. |

We love all of the parks that are so close to us. |
This was on Father's Day. |
At the farmer's market they have a fun splash area. A nice way to cool down after going through the market. |
I love riding my bike to yoga Saturday mornings. So rejuvenating to be out in nature and practicing yoga.
Lululemon sponsors a free one hour yoga class every weekend right in front of the capital building. |
Baby Signing Time Video is one of Brooky's faves to check out from the library. |

Clement Family Pictures
While we were in Texas for Brooklyn's birthday we surprised my mom and hired a photographer to have family pictures taken... twice. The first evening we went to get them done right as we started it got really windy and rainy. We took one of the WHOLE family (my sisters, parents, grandpa, and us), and then us and my sister Erin's families. After that it was just too windy. The next morning we tried again and the weather was much better.
Love my family! So glad we have these pictures of all of us together.

Having this photo taken reminded me of the old days when we got family pictures taken. My dad "this isn't going to work!". |
