I will now brag a bit about my hubby. Since it is pretty uncomfortable to bend over now he will paint my toenails whenever I need him to. It's awesome and I hope he will keep doing it after I'm pregnant. I love having painted toenails but don't really like painting them myself. Plus, he does a better job than I do :)
I have been saying for awhile now how I want a pair of Tom's but I haven't wanted to buy them for myself just cause of the price. Well today as we were headed out for the day he said he first wanted to stop somewhere downtown cause he had a surprise for me. Apparently a patient at the hospital was wearing some Tom's and he had asked them where they got them and they recommened Urban Outfitters. So I got me some Tom's!!!! They are super comfy and so nice to slip into. I love surprises. Thomas said he was going to wait til Mother's Day but couldn't :)
Another thing that Thomas does for me is give me massages at night when I can't fall asleep. My left leg always seems to get restless now and it drives me crazy. He said he can tell when I am getting super uncomfortable cause my breathing gets all funny. Seriously withing 5 minutes of his massages I am out like a light.
Love that man of mine!

Baby Shower
Our baby shower was in Yakima, WA on March 29th. My mom was the host
and she did such a good job. The decorations were so pink and girly I
loved it :) It was so nice seeing friends and family and sharing our
excitement together for the arrival of our little girl.
We played a couple games at the shower. The first one was that each person got a flower hair clip. Throughout the shower if you heard somebody say the word "baby" you got to take their clip. The person at the end of the night with the most clips won.
The second one was called "How well do you know Mommy to be". I filled out a form with what traits I want our baby to have from Thomas or myself and the guests had to guess which traits I picked.
The other game was baby shower BINGO. Each guest filled out a BINGO card with gifts they thought I would recieve and if I got that gift they could cross it out.
My SIL Angie won the "How well do you know mommy to be" game and my SIL Wendy won the bingo game :)
I couldn't believe how many gifts there were to open. I was getting a little hot and flustered opening all of those gifts in front of so many people. Luckily I had my neices to help me out :) Lexi especially loved helping open all of the presents.
Thomas did a great job packing the car up when it was time to head back to Boise. We were worried everything wouldn't fit but it did (barely).
At this point we are now about 4 weeks away from little Brooklyn's arrival and I think we have everything we need. Once I hit 37 weeks, which is considered full-term, I'm giving her the go ahead to come :)

Warning: Pregnancy
You know how pills always have the warnings on the bottles of them with the possible side effects? I would like to warn all teenage girls having unprotected sex of the side effects of pregnancy.
Pregnancy
Side effects may include: nausea, vomiting, constipation, acne, fatigue, sore boobs,
bouts of breathlessness, inability to control bladder while sneezing, restless legs, backache, sleepless nights, frequent urination, bloody noses, leaky breasts, muscle cramps, food aversions, and food cravings.
Am I forgetting anything?

What's going on
Life lately has been pretty routine (which I love routine so that is totally okay with me). I've been substituting everyday except when I have a doctors appointment which is every two weeks now. Thomas is going to school and working so we see each other for an hour every morning lol. He has been working full time since right after Christmas to train in the operating room but has still been considered part-time. This last week he interviewed for a full-time position and got it :) The nice thing is that he will keep the exact same schedule and the only thing that will change will be he get's a raise and we will pay less for our insurance premium. Once the baby get's here we will be paying a couple dollar less than we were with him getting part-time benefits and that's with one extra person.
It's pretty aweome seeing how the Lord look out for us. I remember first moving to Boise and just wondering how things were going to work out as far as jobs and stuff. I would get frustrated when things didn't go the way I thought they should. Looking back it's nice to see that the Lord had a better vision in mind then I did.
We are loving the friendship we are making here and things just feel right :)
Pregnancy news: This is embarrassing to write but I kind of want to remember details like this for future pregnancies. At my appointments I never ask how much I weight. I don't want to obsess about my weight and I've told my nurse and doctor to just let me know if I've gained too much or too little. At my 30 week appointment my doctor said I had gained 7lbs in the past 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!! Actually I was proud of myself for not freaking out too bad. Those two week I had slacked on my workouts and we had eaten out quite a bit. Plus I could tell the baby had gone through a growth spurt. But this was a good wake-up call to get my booty back in gear. My goal for the past two weeks has been to workout for an hour a day, no eating out, and to eat a serving of veggies and drink a glass of water before dinner each night. Small goals but they have helped me feel accomplished each day.
So far my weight gain has been 28lbs. I was hoping to gain 35lbs overall. My doctor says to gain up to 40lbs would be fine for me and my height and how much I started out weighing.
I feel like normally I gain weight in my face but with pregnancy I swear I am seeing cellulite on my butt and thighs and that my arm are getting jiggly.
In other pregnancy events... I totally peed my pants the other day! I had just gotten back from the grocery store and needed to go to the bathroom but I wanted to unload all the groceries first. So I sneezed and totally lost control of my bladder. So much so that I had to change my pants!! More motivation to do those keigal exercises and lesson learned to not try to hold it.
In other news we found out during spring break that Thomas was accepted into Boise State's MRI program for next fall! It is two semesters and will result in him earning his Bachelor's degree. We have heard that they are really accomadating with students' schedules so he will be able to work still and do his clinicals. Although this probably means he will be at the hospital doing clinicals all morning/afternoon and then stay at the hospital to work till 11pm at night :( We will be taking full advantage of his time off from school this summer and the timing couldn't have been better since he will be able to be home a lot when the baby comes.

Stolen bike
This past Friday I picked Thomas up from work around 11pm. He had ridden my bike to work so he strapped it on our bike rack for the ride home. We were both super tired and didn't realize that we hadn't taken it off that night. Monday, Thomas working on his bike and I asked where mine was. It wasn't in the garage, on the car, or in the apartment. When I went to look at the bike rack I noticed that the straps were cut. The straps didn't even need to be cut obviously to take the bike off you just unstrap it. But we realized somebody had stolen my bike. All day Tuesday I couldn't stop thinking about the bike and I was so mad that somebody had taken it.
After I dropped Thomas off at work that afternoon I decided to get my exercise by going for a walking and looking for the bike. I first went around our little complex and then went to the street behind ours. There are some new nice townhouses and then this small section of about 6 trailer homes. As I'm walking past one of them I notice a guy out in his back yard with a bunch of bike parts. And I see leaning behind a shed what looks like the frame to my bike!!
I walked past once and then a second time and kind of hid behind the trailer to make sure it was mine. I had also brought a picture with me to confirm. I could definetly tell the bike was mine. So I go down the street further and call the police. The lady who answered asked me what I was wearing and if I would be waiting outside. I gave her the address of a townhouse across the street from the trailer. She said she couldn't give me a time when an officer would be by so I just got on the phone with my mom and waited. I waited for an hour and watched these four 19 or 20 year olds come and go on their bikes from this trailer. Finally I called the dispatcher back and asked if she would just have the officer call me when he got there or stop by my apartment. She said that would be fine.
So I waited, and waited, and waited! My first call to the dispatcher was at 4pm and by 7pm I called our neighbor who is also my visiting teaching companion. She has called dispatch before too and said that they take their sweet time if it isn't considered an emergency and there is no weapon. This made me so mad! By the time somebody showed up I was sure my bike would be gone. So that night my neighbor, her husband, Thomas and I all went over there. As our neighbor Samuel was shining a flashlight in the backyard to look at my bike this car pulls up with teens and the driver asks what we are looking for. Samuel explains that our bike was stolen and we see it in the yard. He asked if the driver lived there and he said no but his friend did and to just knock on the door. We knocked on the door and a guy in his 50's answers. I tell him my bike was stolen and we see it in the yard. He explains that he wouldn't doubt it and gets his teenage daughter to come out and get it for us.
Apparently her boyfriend/fiancee stole it. The guy goes back with his daughter and the guys to get the bike and sees all these other bike parts and gets really mad and says he is going to make the guy who stole them take them all back to their owners (I know that won't happen). The girl gets on her phone with her boyfriend and says "You know that bike you stole? The people you stole it from are here at my house right now! You better not go to jail for this!" So they give us our frame and one tire back and the dad gives me his number and his daughter gives me hers so when the rest of the parts are found they can get them to us and the boyfriend can put the bike back together. I let them know that if that didn't happen we would need to get the police involved. Which they really didn't need to be worried about since apparently the police don't care about that kind of stuff and never even came or called me back.
About five minutes later the dad calls me to let me know they found more of the bike parts. Thomas and I had to go out of town the next day but our neighbors offered to call the guy and have him put the bike back together the next day.
They let us know that it all got put back together and the guy apologized and said that he has a drinking problem (and apparently a theft problem) and he was really sorry he stole our bike.
I am actually kind of glad that the police didn't show up because if they did the kid just would have been taken to jail and we never would have gotten our bike back. This way he had to fix what he had done. But now I am so disappointed in our justice system. It makes me angry that in order to get help as a citizen there has to be some weapon or someone has to be dying basically. So an 8 month pregnant lady has to go out there and be detective and get justice.
