Lucky Peak

We had a fun weekend with friends even though it didn't go exactly as planned.  Originally we were going to go with the Howell's and Regan's floating down the Boise River but our babysitter cancelled last minute so we made new plans so we could take the kiddos with us.
We ended up going to Lucky Peak which is just a 20 minute drive away and took the raft out and BBQ'd.  Thomas and I were in charge of bringing hot dogs and we totally forgot condiments and BBQ tongs and a lighter! Luckily Kevin had a lighter and everyone was good sports and ate the hot dogs plain. Thomas ended up burning himself a bit from getting the hot dogs off the grill :(
This hat came all the way from Australia from one of my mission companions :)

Brooklyn was SUCH a good girl and loved being outside.  Her new favorite activity is so to be walked around outside.  She looks up at the trees and is just all wide eyed it is adorable.  At first when I put her feet in the water she got a big boo-boo lip but the second time she liked it. I think she liked the feeling of the sand on her feet.  I've also taken her outside to the grass by our apartment and she was lovin' the feeling of the grass under her feet.

Random phone pics of Brooklyn

Going through my phone I found some cute little gems of our sweet little ballerina/sleeping beauty.

Trip to Yakima to See Alex

My nephew Alex is in Washington visiting my parents for a few weeks and I haven't seen him since January so I was super excited to be able to see him. Thomas got Monday off work so that we could have a couple days to spend with him.
I can't believe how big that little boy has gotten! He talks SO much it is so stinking cute.  When we first got there him and my mom pulled up in the car just as we did and he was asleep in his carseat.  I picked him up and when he opened his eyes he just immediately started talking a mile a minute.  Once we got inside he was showing my all his toys and their names and literally pacing in a figure eight he was so excited.
We arrived Saturday afternoon and that evening went with my mom and Alex to Thomas' brothers house for dinner.  Our niece Lexi loved being a little mommy to Alex.  He kind of liked the attention too.  He was pretty cute playing with the Mr. Potato Head.

After dinner we went outside for awhile to play some baseball. I think Alex liked it most when he would miss the ball, he thought it was HILARIOUS.  What a good little sport.

Thomas and I got the Giles niece and nephews Boise state shirts for their summer birthdays. Starting them young as Bronco fans :)

Sunday we didn't make it til the last hour of church because Brooklyn was sleeping and she hadn't slept well at all the day before because of the traveling.  Silly girl will not sleep for more than 15 minutes at a time in her carseat.  That evening my grandpa and some friends the Middleton's came over for dinner.
Monday we played a game called Dominion with my parents before heading on the road again.  My mom loaded us down with stuff she is getting rid of in order to dejunk before they move to Texas.  So we walked away with new silverware dishes.
When I was going through some of my mom's things I found this old outfit that was my little sister's (Alex's mom).  Thomas and I thought it would be fun to put Alex in it.

Haha he loved it and didn't want to take it off even though the pants were so tight his little butt crack was showing and they kept falling down.
He also wouldn't put the helmet my dad bought for him to go four-wheeling in on until my dad said that he could drive his "monster truck" if he wore it.  Then again he didn't want to take it off once he put it on.  He called it his "grave digger" helmet.

Hair

Brooklyn has quite the little hair-do going on.  She has a peaked hairline that until halfway back is really short and then it is super long.  If we don't comb it right after we give her a bath it sticks straight up and has a little wave to it.  Thomas likes to put it in a little fohawk.  In the back it's pretty long and thick and when it is wet it is curly.  I know most babies lose their hair but I'm hoping she keeps hers.
