Fire Station Field Trip

Another mom in our preschool group planned a field trip to the local fire station.  I must admit I think the favorite part for the girls was afterwards when we went to the downtown pharmacy that is like an old fashioned soda fountain.  They were all eating their ice cream at the bar and it was adorable!

Bubble gum ice cream, of course.

St. Patrick's Day 2016

For St. Patrick's Day this year we had a leprechaun come to our house. He left a trail of gold coins leading from Brooklyn's bedroom to the top of the stairs where there was a box of Lucky Charms cereal waiting! That sneaky leprechaun.

Frozen on Ice

On a random Wednesday this month I looked on my Instagram Feed and saw that someone I follow had gone to Frozen on Ice in Salt Lake the night before.  I had been wanting to take Brooklyn but hadn't gotten tickets.  So last minute I snatched up some tickets and we made a day of going to Salt Lake.
First, we stopped by Leatherby's for some ice cream.  Brooklyn got the bubble gum ice cream and I got a chocolate peanut butter sundae that was TO.DIE.FOR!

The ice cream shop was only a mile or so from the arena so we just left our car there and walked over.  Nice to not have to deal with parking or traffic. Three of the five girls in Brooklyn's preschool class have gone to Disneyland in the last couple months and so I think she's had it on her mind because she kept saying "YAY! We're going to Disneyland!" as we were on our way.
This was our third Disney on Ice experience and I love having it as a tradition. We had great seats and thoroughly enjoyed our spur of the moment mommy/daughter day date.

Krispy Kreme Date

Not the best picture cause I was running but I'm still in awe that I get to run by things like this waterfall.

One Saturday morning after my run Thomas and Brooklyn met up with me in Orem to do some running around. Thomas had promised Brooklyn a daddy/daughter donut date and they let me tag along with them to Krispy Kreme.

And afterwards Brooklyn wanted to dress up (or down depending on how you look at it).

Preschool February/March

Stringing cheerios for some fine motor practice.

Free time
Of course Brooklyn goes for the dolls.

More fine motor skill practice plus working on AB patterns.

Pattern practice with Fruit Loop cereal.

Practicing the letter Tt with play-dough mats.

We read the little Blue Truck book and the story of The Good Samaritan and talked about being kind to EVERYBODY.  This art project was fun for the girls.  They colored a little blue truck then put the picture in a box with a ball dipped in brown paint and rolled it around to muddy up their truck.
