The day after we got back from Texas we took about a short 20 minute drive to Hobble Creek Canyon to try them out.
Our first attempt was a learning experience. Brooklyn ended up throwing herself down and screaming in the snow about 200 meters into our adventure. She said she didn't want to snowshoe. So we headed back to the car where she screamed the she now wanted to snowshoe.
I think she was till exhausted from all of the holiday fun and travel.
The next time we went we were smarter about it and made sure she was well rested and took both the Ergo backpack carrier and a sled to pull her in, both of which we used. Success!
We got a good couple miles in that time and afterwards rewarded her by letting her sled down some nearby hills.
