Zoo Boise holds a fun Halloween event each year called "Boo at the Zoo". Volunteers dress up in costumes and hand out candy and local business come as well to give away the sweet stuff.
It was a madhouse at the zoo that day! Luckily my parents had gotten us a pass for the year and yearly pass holders could pretty much walk right in with a flash of their card rather than stand in line with most everybody else.
We first went to get Brooklyn in the 0-2 year old costume contest. Kind of a mistake because we ended up waiting in line for 45 minutes with a bunch of screaming children. Brooklyn wasn't one of the screaming children, I think she was entertained by all the costumes and screaming (a people watcher just like her mama). But it was kind of fun to get on stage and show off my cute girl. Next year we will pass on this though. We got a nice little participation ribbon.
Then we went around collecting candy. Brooklyn quickly discovered her love of lollipops and smarties.
We ran into a few friends while there and enjoyed our time together in the nice fall weather. I'd call it a success.
