We took Thomas' nephews up snowboarding during the Christmas break. I hadn't been in over three years but it all came back right away. Seriously like riding a bike. This was our first time at Bogus Basin which is only like a 45 minute drive from us.
Brooklyn colored on the walls for the first time and consequently learned how to clean the walls with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
Thomas' sister sent Brooklyn this cute Elsa hat that her friend made.
Cookie decorating with Daddy.
All dressed up for church in her pretty Christmas dress. Thomas likes to try and match his tie to the dress she is wearing for church.
Sometimes when I hear about tragic things happening to other children I get really anxious that they will happen to Brooklyn. One story I read was about a little girl who woke up before her parents and the dresser fell over on her and killed her. The other day while I was in the kitchen Brooklyn was in her room and when I went in the dresser was tipped over and all the drawers had fallen out. It had not fallen on her but it was the kick in the pants I needed to buy some furniture anchors. Whenever Thomas gets his tools out for a project Brooklyn loves to be involved and get her little tool set out too. Or just climb all over her dad while he is working.
We did the 12 days of Christmas where Brooklyn opens a new book each night leading up to Christmas. I love this tradition.
They have this picture of Thomas and Brooklyn from last year in the City of Boise Activity Booklet.
This day Brooklyn was crying because "there's snow on my car!" She has also lost it because the leaves were falling of of "her trees" outside.
I went to a free Pure Barre class at Lululemon. Such a great workout! The Pure Barre studio is right near our house and I've been wanting to try it but it's like $20 a class!
These statues use to be downtown but they moved them to in front of the community center and Brooklyn loves to play with them.
She still loves these cozy coupe cars they have at open gym.
