Ward Campout 2015

We got to go on our first campout since having a child! The campground we went to is only about a 20 minute drive from our house.  So if things would have gone badly we could have easily come back home.  Luckily they went great! There was a great little playground for kids to play on and we brought our ladder ball game and someone else brought a baseball bat and ball that we played with til it got dark.  Once it was dark everyone gathered for smore's (Brooklyn's first time trying a smore. She loved them) a talent show.  Not many people were wanting to get up and sing or play the keyboard so I convinced Brooklyn to sing Twinkle twinkle.  It was pretty cute even though she just got through the first line before she got too embarrassed.
We had brought the pack n play for Brooklyn to sleep in but she just played in it for awhile and then wanted to sleep on the air mattress with us which worked out just fine.  The next morning we had a pancake breakfast and then packed up our stuff and headed home.  The perfect little first time camping trip.
