Spanish Fork Hot Springs Hike

We ventured out for a little longer hike on Memorial Day to Spanish Fork Canyon Hot Springs.  I had never been to a natural hot springs and it was so awesome! The hike is about 5 miles round trip and a good workout.  I had Brooklyn on my back the whole way up which added a bit more intensity to the workout.  Brooklyn was a CHAMP! In Boise when we would try and hike Table rock with her which is about a 2.5 miles round trip she inevitably would get cranky and need down and we wouldn't normally make it to the top.  We borrowed the Moss' hiking backpack, a Kelty Journey 2.0, and I think she prefers it to the Ergo because she sits higher up and can see what's in front of us rather than just to the sides.
We went on this hike with my college friend Carrie and her friend Becca.  Which it turns out Becca and Thomas served in the same mission at the same time. There was great conversation and amazing scenery.
We were rewarded at the top with the hot springs.  The different pools were different temperatures.  The first one we tried so burning! We found one that was nice and warm but that had cool water streaming in through a break in some rocks and it felt perfect! I tend to get over heated quick in hot tubs and the stream of cool water created the perfect cool down.  Brooklyn had a blast swimming around and it was a nice little break to swim and eat lunch before the hike back down the mountain.
