Jaker's Pumpkin Patch

There is a cute little pumpkin patch about two miles from our home that has free admission during school hours. One school day we met up there with Lauren and her two kids. There was a little petting zoo, corn box, hay bales, haunted house, slides, and of course pumpkins. Brooklyn spent about 30 minutes petting the ponies and feeding them hay.  Her and Emery also enjoyed the corn box and slide. And we ended up leaving with a couple pumpkins to decorate.

Alpine Loop Scenic Fall Drive

One Sunday in October while Thomas was studying for an upcoming test Brooklyn and I went on a drive in the mountains to see all the fall colors.  We took the Alpine Loop and it was about 2 hours total in which Brooklyn was a dream.  She just chatted away with me and enjoyed getting out every once in awhile to take in the view and snap some pictures. This had been on my fall bucket list so I was glad we did it before the snow came!

Scarecrow Stroll 2015

We had so many holiday traditions in Boise that I was sad to be missing out on once we moved but I feel like we have been able to continue similar ones here in Utah. One of those traditions was the Scarecrow Stroll at the Botanical Gardens.  Luckily they have one here as well!

They day we chose to go was a perfect fall weather day.  The gardens are HUGE and so beautiful with lots of open space, water features like waterfalls and ponds, and a nice little walking path.  Besides the scarecrows that were along the path to view they had some activities for kids to enjoy like carving apples, hay maze, and pumpkin bowling.  I think Brooklyn’s favorite part was rolling down the big grassy hill over and over.
