October Photo Dump

We LOVED doing a mommy and me yoga class through the City of Boise. By the end of the session Brooklyn was mimicking most of the moves and coming home and wanting to do yoga there as well. There were three other girls in the class and we are friends with all of them so the girls could get a little silly sometimes but the teacher was great with them.  There rewards at the end of the class was being able to stare at themselves in the mirror and hang from the bar.


We had to get our car fixed and ended up walking home. Brooklyn found a friend that taught her how to hang from the monkey bars.
She loves watching the gardeners mow the lawn and blow the leaves.
Splashing in puddles is a fave activity.
Daddy got an exciting birthday present of a night guard. That's how you know your getting old. Brooklyn was excited for him.
She has been asking to have her face painted a lot since we had painted her face for Halloween. We just use the crayon like face paint and it wears off pretty quick so no big deal. But I have been seen around town a lot in the month of October with a little kitty cat.
I won an Ipad Mini!! I had been entering a contest on our local new station's facebook page every day for a few weeks (it was 7 week of giveaways). One day I got an email saying I was a winner! Went to the station and got my prize! Brooklyn and I tested out the funny picture taking settings.
Brooklyn had her first sleepover without us this month! She did just great and talks a lot about spending the night at Grandma's house.
We let her play with an old camera of ours and she likes to take pictures of us.
Grandma Sandee came over to watch Brooklyn one day while I substitute taught and they made a Halloween gingerbread house. Play date pretend sleeping with Emme.
And Anna Daddy and Brooklyn carved a pumpkin together.

Boise's Babies and Tots Trunk or Treat

Our group Boise's Babies and Tots had a trunk or treat this year that we really enjoyed.  Since we knew our kids would be getting plenty of candy elsewhere a lot of the moms tried to bring non candy treats.  So there were lots of stickers, play-dough, rings, etc.

Boo at the Zoo 2014

We got more use out of our costumes this year by attending Boo at the Zoo.  It's free for season pass holders.  You walk around and local companies hand out cheap candy (think smarties and hard taffy). Not something I would pay for but since it's free. Brooklyn hated the costumed people and clung onto us for dear life. It was a nice enough day that we biked there from our apartment and that added to the enjoyment of the outing.

Haircut and Style

It's a treat now for Brooklyn to go get her hair cut at 2BAKid Salon.  She recognizes Laria who cuts her hair and she loves sitting in the jeep.  I love how Laria braided her hair this time.

Halloween 2014

Halloween night we spent Trick or Treating with our friends the O'Brien's for the second year in a row.  Molly is a year older than Brooklyn and they had so much fun together again this year.
We had pizza and salad at the O'Brien's house before heading out for trick or treating in their neighborhood.
The girls were giggling and screaming all night long.  Thomas was their chaueffer and hauled them around in the wagon and helped them in and out.  Thomas' mom was able to come with us too.  It makes my heart so happy to see my girl so happy and enjoying herself with friends.
We dressed up as a family theme this year.  Brooklyn was Minnie Mouse, I was Mickey Mouse, and Thomas was Goofy.

Harrison Blvd. Halloween Sight Seeing

This was our second year walking down historic Harrison Boulevard to see all the Halloween decorations.  This year it was just Brooky Bear and myself as Thomas had to work. It was perfect fall weather and the tree lined street just looked picture perfect with all the old houses and fall foliage. Brooklyn biked part of the way and then we walked and took pictures of each other and the decor.  This girl is becoming quite the budding photographer.
